Hyderabad: A school and hospital are among five buildings that the Telangana state fire services department has found to be violating fire safety rules.

The Oxford School at ICRISAT Colony in Beeramguda and Apollo Hospital in Hyderguda continue to violate fire safety norms and the fire services department will file a supplementary charge-sheet against these repeat violators.

TS state disaster response and fire services director general Rajiv Ratan said, “Surprise inspections of 20 buildings, that were selected by the computer randomly, were carried out in December and we found five of them violating fire safety standards.”

“We will initiate legal action as per the Act on the owners and occupiers for violating the conditions of the No Objection Certificate issued by the fire department,” he added.
