Patna: Recent survey shows that Patna railway station tops the list of users in terms of searches on internet using free Wi-Fi services. Report shows that most of the websites which were visited through search engines were porn sites.
Patna railway station was among 23 other railway stations where free Wi-Fi services were installed in the first phase. According to authorities here, “free Wi-Fi was installed at the railway stations across the country keeping in mind the office goers and students who travel through train frequently”.
They however refused to comment when asked about the survey which showed travellers using free Wi-Fi at Patna railway station to view porn sites. Sources claimed that the survey was carried out by RailTel to find out about the usage of free Wi-Fi service at railway stations.
They said, the Railtel is planning to boost up service by increasing from 1 GB to 10 GB in order to give high speed internet and the survey was done to find out the number of users.
