Colleges, schools taken part in Haritha Haram

Similar drives were held at various engineering colleges in the city including CMR, CBIT, Malla Reddy in the last few days.

Hyderabad: Many schools and private engineering colleges have taken active part in Haritha Haram, the afforestation drive of Telangana government.

Assembly Speaker Madhusudhana Chary took part in a tree plantation programme held at Delhi Public School, Nacharam. Along with students, teachers and staff, he planted saplings in school premises.

Similar drives were held at various engineering colleges in the city including CMR, CBIT, Malla Reddy in the last few days.

Students of St. Pious Degree and PG College for Women collected used note books and text books for the recycling initiative of a corporate group. Students from various classes submitted books and in return they were given brand new note books at discount prices.
