Hyderabad: A 22-year-old DJ from the city who checked in at a lodge in Gachibowli along with his girlfriend and another couple, was found dead under suspicious conditions on Friday.
Employees at the lodge at Kondapur informed the police that one H. Rathna Vara Prasad Rao, 22, was lying in the room unconscious. When the police arrived they found he was dead.
Vara Prasad, a resident of Shivaji Nagar in Sanathnagar, left his home on Thursday noon. At around 11 pm, when his mother called, he informed her that he was with his friends and would be home on Friday morning.
Inquiries revealed that at around 1 am, Vara Prasad, his girlfriend and another couple checked in at the lodge. During the night, he and his girlfriend had a quarrel and he allegedly beat her. The girl went to sleep, but he was awake.
At around 9 am, the girl left the room and the other couple also left an hour later, thinking that Vara Prasad was sleeping. But he was dead by then, said the police..
“There are no external injuries or any other marks on the body. A team inspected the spot and sent the body for autopsy at OGH mortuary. Only after the report from the forensic doctors, the reason for the death can be ascertained,” said Inspector R. Srinivas of the Gachibowli police.
