Over 73,000 Candidates Allotted Seats in Phase 1 of Admissions via DOST in Telangana

Hyderabad: The TS Council of Education allotted seats to 73,220 candidates in the first phase of admissions released on Degree Online Services, Telangana (DOST). Of the 1,05,935 candidates who registered, 44,113 (60.25 per cent) girls and 29,107 (39.75 per cent) boys were allotted seats.

DOST serves as a platform for students seeking admission into undergraduate courses in state universities.

Candidates who registered for Phase 1 between May 16 and June 10 can check their results online on the official website Students who have been allotted the seats are to reserve their seats by self-reporting online by paying the prescribed fee in the DOST candidate login, from June 16 to 25. Those who weren't allotted any seats can apply for the next phases.

With classes for degree students scheduled to begin on July 17, the academic process, which is divided into three phases between the months of June and July, will conclude on July 15. Phase 2 registration will go on from June 16 to June 26.

Commerce was the top choice, covering 45.41 per cent of aspirants, followed by life sciences (22.44 per cent), physical sciences (18.39per cent) and arts (10.61 per cent). Newly added data science and artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) was sought by 2.67 per cent of the candidates.
