Pregnant Woman Dies in Exam Hall Moments Before TS TET Test

Hyderabad: An eight-month pregnant woman, Bantu Radhika, died in the exam hall here, just moments before taking her TS Teacher Eligibility Test (TS TET), at a centre in Isnapur, Patancheru, on Friday morning.

Radhika Bantu, 32, a resident of Gachibowli's Indranagar, is survived by her husband Arun and their two daughters aged four and two years.

It was stated that Radhika ran up the stairs to reach her room in time for the exam which began at 9.30 am. Once seated, reports said, she began sweating profusely.

Moments later, Radhika collapsed in her seat. Invigilators and fellow candidates immediately called for help, and her husband, Arun, was informed about the situation.

Officials summoned an ambulance, but due to the urgency of the situation a police constable on duty at the centre offered his vehicle to rush Radhika to a hospital.

Dr Priyadarshini at the Tanguturi Anjaiah Memorial Hospital in Patancheru said that despite the best efforts of medical professionals, it was too late. "She had no pulse and wasn't responding to treatment. She lost her life on her way here," the doctor said.

Radhika's husband, Arun, who recounted the events, said, "She was fine and healthy," he said. "She was preparing for her exam, had her breakfast and headed to the centre. She was afraid she would be late by a minute."
