Mancherial: A 21-year-old housewife hanged herself to death at her house on Wednesday. The deceased, K. Rohini, had married K. Mohan on April 30 last.
“The husband complained to her mother that she was not sexually active and his brothers and sisters-in-law used to harass her for the same,” said SI T. Madhu of Kacheguda police. “Fed up with the harassment she committed suicide,” the SI added. Based on a complaint from the girl’s parents, police booked a case under Section 306 (suicide) and 498A (husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty) of IPC.
