Hyderabad: The Hyderabad regional board of the Central Board of Film Certification has refused certification for the trailer of a Tollywood film named Mental Police, starring Srikanth. The board objected to the title.
Earlier, producer Dil Raju had changed the title of his film, Polisodu, to Police, starring Tamil actor Vijay. The move followed a legal notice issued by the TS Police Officers Association.
Regarding Mental Police, a source in the CBFC said. “The film is yet to come for certification. But the film-makers sought certification of the trailer to be telecast on TV and to be shown at theatres. We refused certification as the title was objectionable, much before police associations objected.
