Kozhikode: MP Veerendrakumar said at a press conference here that he would resign his Rajya Sabha membership in three days and future decisions would be taken after discussions with Sharad Yadav. He was speaking to the media after a meeting of the Janata Dal (U).
“No decision has been taken regarding whether to form a new party or to join any of the existing ones. All the aspects of the new circumstances were considered and discussed with state-level and district-level leaders. Sharad Yadav would be informed of the decisions taken at the discussions in the coming days,” he said.
He said that he did not need any favour from Nitish Kumar. “I will resign the Rajya Sabha membership in the next three days, whether he expels me from the party or not. I still believe that dissolving the SJD was a wrong act,” he added.
