Tirupati: Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy surprises by meeting a farmer

Leader of Opposition assured that YSRC would get them MSP.

TIRUPATI: Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy continues his 60th day of Praja Sankalpa Yatra at Ramachandrapuram mandal under Chandragiri constituency in Chittoor district on Friday. Mr Reddy took a detour from his Padayatra and gave a surprise visit to a farmer Chandrababu who was sowing seeds in his paddy field near N.R. Kamma Palle village.

He met Chandrababu who owns two acres of land and cultivates paddy. He explained the Opposition leader that he had invested nearly Rs 48,000 on his two acre land but the earning from the yield would be much lesser than the amount he invested as the govt is not providing minimum support price. The leader of Opposition assured Chandrababu that YSRC would provide MSP for all the crops and a Price Stability Fund would be constituted with a corpus of '3,000 crore for the welfare of farmers.

Earlier Mr Reddy began his padayatra from Kunepalli , Chandragiri constituency, where he met Sakkamma who shared her grievances at the initial point of the Padayatra. She explained the terrible condition her son Chinni Krishna who has been continuously suffering from fever for last two years. They have visited different hospitals in Bangalore and Tirupati and spent a lot of money for treatment. She urged Mr Reddy to help her son get the treatment. Mr Reddy consoled her and asked a group of doctors who joined Praja Sankalpa Yatra to look into the case and arrange the required treatment for Chinni Krishna. He has congratulated the ISRO scientists for successfully launching PSLV C- 40.
