Vijayawada: Minister for municipal & urban development P. Narayana has assured, “We will complete the housing projects meant for MLAs, Non-Gazetted Officers and other employees as per the target by 2018.” He toured all the works in Rayapadu, Nelapadu on Monday. He inspected ‘file foundation’ works. The engineers have explained the details to the minister, who ordered them to complete the file foundation works before January end.
Mr Narayana has said he will review the construction works every Monday and on Tuesday, he will review the road works. After verifying the designs, Mr Narayana has driven himself to the file foundation rig. He asked about the capacity of the rig and daily quantity of the file foundations. The officials have explained that daily 60 file foundations have been completed and assured him they will inrease the rigs, so that the quantity of file foundations will be higher per day. The minister has instructed them to arrange 30 rigs for each package, which means total 90 rigs against the present working 40 rigs.
The minister directed the officials to complete the water supply works on priority basis and arrange the fencing for the three package works. Mr Narayana verified the safety measures, camp office arrangements in the sites. Afterwards he visited Anantavaram, Endrayee Mine areas. Project manager H. Dorababu and other officials were part of the tour.
