Thiruvananthapuram: Students of the APJ Abdul Kalam University want the first and third semester B. Tech exams beginning Tuesday postponed, citing chances of malpractices as self-financing colleges would download question papers hours before the exams start and that the agency engaged in the online transfer would also be authorised to handle answer sheets.

Pro-vice-chancellor M. Abdul Rahman ruled out postponement while education minister's office maintained that the decision was to be taken by the university.
