Visakhapatnam: Indian Navy Day 2023 will be celebrated in a grand manner with military prowess on display on Sunday in the sea off Ramakrishna Beach Road from the NTR Statue to Park Hotel Junction.
AP Governor S. Abdul Nazeer is set to grace the occasion as chief guest.
Visakhapatnam police have rolled out guidelines in a bid to manage the expected influx of people and vehicles from the Collectorate Junction to Naval Coastal Battery and various other points.
General motorists have been asked to park their vehicles in designated areas, notably the MGM ground adjacent to the Park Hotel. From there, they have been advised to proceed on foot to the beach enclosures. The Beach Road from Park Hotel will be off-limits to all vehicles during the event.
Motorists approaching from various directions—including MVP, Siripuram, Jagadamba Junction, Seven Hills Hospital, and KGH—are directed to park at specific locations before reaching the beach enclosures.
People residing between Naval Coastal Battery and Park Hotel have been requested to cooperate with authorities during this period. In case of urgency, these residents will be permitted to proceed after verification using their Aadhaar cards.
