Vijayawada: Almost a week after YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy publicly said that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu should be shot, the latter on Tuesday asked why he wanted this. “Is it because I am working round the clock for the state’s development and improving the lot of the poor,” he asked.
Mr Naidu said the comments of the YSRC president would destroy the party. It would not get even 30 seats in 2019, he said. He said Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy had earlier said Mr Naidu “should be hit with a slipper”, and was now saying “shoot Naidu”. Later, the CM, while speaking to journalists on Tuesday, said he had never seen such an opposition leader. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s attitude is the same since his childhood and he even returned from the US without getting educated, he said.
