Warangal: Team India fan sculpts miniature World Cup

India is set to play New Zealand in its semi-final clash on Tuesday at Manchester.

Warangal: A die-hard fan of Team India has created a micro-sculpture wishing his country another cricket World Cup.

Sriramoju Jayakumar, 49, a goldsmith by profession and a native of Narsampet in Warangal Rural district has sculpted a miniature replica of the World Cup in gold and silver.

The sculpture has a bat along with wickets and the ball in the trophy is made of 10mg gold.

The words ‘Team India - Come On’ are also carved on the sculpture which is 5 mm in height and 6 mm in width.

It took him two days to complete it Jayakumar said, “Micro-sculpting is my passion and so is cricket. Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and K.L Rahul are in great form and there is no doubt we will see India lift the World Cup this year.”
