AP arranges two flights to get Andhra students from Manipur

VIJAYAWADA: AP government has arranged two special flights to bring back students from Andhra Pradesh stuck in violence-torn Manipur.

Officials said one plane with AP students on board will land in Hyderabad and the other in Kolkata. From there, the students will be redirected to their native places. AP government will bear the expenditure incurred on both the flights.

The flight for Hyderabad will leave at 9:35 a.m. on Monday with 108 AP students, with the flight number being IMF HYD 0935/1235.

Another 49 AP students will be on IMF CCU 1110/1220 flight, which will leave for Kolkata at 11:10 a.m. on Monday.

Officials said this way total 157 students of Andhra Pradesh are being brought back to their native places from the strife-torn Manipur.
