Patna: Welder's son lands Rs 1.02 crore job in US

His father Chandra Kant Chauhan is a small-time welder, gas cutter and painter.

Patna: A welder’s son created a sensation in the country by bagging a prestigious job in Microsoft Company. Vatsalya Chauhan, who belongs to Khagaria in Bihar, gives credit of his success to his teachers in Kota.

He says, “there was a time my performance had dropped and became disassociated with my regular studies and became interested in only research based studies. But my teachers pulled me out as they had full confidence in me”.

Vatsalya Chauhan, an IIT Kharagpur final year student said he is, “eagerly waiting for the day when he will leave for USA”.

He is scheduled to leave for Redmond in Washington USA in October and has bagged an annual package of Rs 1.02 crore with Microsoft company during a campus selection which was held in IIT Kharagpur.

While talking to this newspaper from Khagaria said, “I had full faith in my son and I am happy that very soon my son will begin his new life”.
