Kavitha Reddy filed police complaint against corporator Gurumurthy Reddy

BENGALURU: KPCC Congress women’s wing state secretary Kavitha Reddy has filed a police complaint against corporator Gurumurthy Reddy, who represents ward no 174, alleging that he had spoken ill about MLC V.S. Ugrappa on Dec. 3 during a Citizen Walkathon.

Kavitha Reddy filed the complaint with HSR Layout police station on Tuesday.
The walkathon was organised by the residents of HSR layout on December 3 to discuss about the problems faced by residents which was attended by BBMP officials, including Mayor Sampath Raj.

Reddy said Ugrappa questioned the corporator about problems faced by the citizens and asked him to control the violations and not to sanction higher storey buildings.

Talking to the media after the event, Gurumurthy made statements provoking the public against Ugrappa which disturbed peace among the public, she said.
The HSR Layout police have filed a non-cognisable report.
