Balanced Budget, says hotel association

Vikram Oberoi, president, HAI, has termed the Budget a “balanced: one which will ensure Indian economy “remains on a growth path.

Chennai: Hailing the Union Budget as a “balanced” one, Hotel Association of India said the announcement on creation of five special tourism zones would augur well for tourism development in the country.

“The finance minister has achieved an admirable balance between providing a growth impetus and creating a tax complaint economy with a focus on job creation. The budget has clearly articulated the movement towards GST. Its implementation is on track. Its rollout will be a key inclusion to India's economy,” a senior official of HAI said.

Sessions to enlist Master Trainers on Food Safety: The Hotel & Restaurant Association of Northern India (HRANI) will hold series of workshops to identify Master Trainers to further train Food Safety Supervisors at the unit level in all the food business units across North India. FSSA has made it mandatory to have a trained food safety supervisor with knowledge about food safety and security norms at every unit dealing with food production and delivery.
