Telangana: MLAs denied chance to seek clarification, stage dharna

Hyderabad: Tension prevailed in the Legislative Assembly on Wednesday after Opposition Congress and TD MLAs sat on dharna in the House for over three hours, protesting the adjournment of the House without they being given the opportunity to seek clarifications on the reply given by the CM on fee reimbursement.

Even as Opposition leader K. Jana Reddy and others sought the mike to seek clarifications as soon as CM ended his speech, Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy adjourned the House, inviting protests.

When the House was adjourned at around 2 pm, the Opposition MLAs refused to leave and sat on dharna for over three hours. They were physically evicted.
