Hyderabad: Flights from RGI Airport here to New Delhi were hit on Saturday too but airlines staff said the situation was much better compared to earlier days.
Over six flights to New Delhi departed on schedule and another two were delayed. Only two flights were cancelled. However, due to the delayed arrival of connecting flights from New Delhi, flights to other destinations like Mumbai, Kolkata, Varanasi and Bengaluru were either cancelled or delayed.
Due to dense fog in north India, even train services continued to be hit to New Delhi with trains like Rajdhani, Duronto and Sampark Kranti express getting delayed by five to six hours. As a result, other trains were also affected.
Railway officials said the situation can improve only if foggy conditions cease to exist. South Central Railway officials said train 12862 Kazipet-Visakhapatnam link express scheduled to depart Kazipet at 2.30 am on Sunday (December 4) is rescheduled to depart at 10 am on the same day, due to the late running of train #12722 Nizamuddin-Hyderabad/Visakhapatnam Dakshin Express.
