Coimbatore: Two persons, including a woman, were fatally electrocuted in separate incidents in Erode district.
Police said that Sambath Kumar, 33, from Ganapathipalayam and working as a mason, suffered an electric shock when he stepped into stagnant water on the terrace of an upcoming building on Saturday night. He had taken up the construction work of a house at Gandhi Nagar.
In another incident, Mohanambal, 52, wife of Venkatesan from Vellapalayam near Gopichettipalayam touched an iron pipe tied to the dish antenna. Police said that she was seriously injured and taken to the government hospital, but died on the way.
