KAKINADA: Around 13 candidates filed their nominations for MLC post for Graduates’ constituency from Godavari Districts on Saturday.
PDF candidate I.V.Rao filed his nomination by coming to the Collectorate, accompanied by a huge procession. All government related organisations, teachers’ associations that are supporting him participated in the procession.
Tetali Kasi Visweswara Reddy, Gadiraju Satayanarayana Raju, Ganapathi Rao Chinnimilli, Shaik Gouse Mohiddin, Ravi Veera Venkata Murali Srinivas, Thentu Satyanarayana, Torlapati Sheethal, Yerramsetty Subbarayudu, Jonnada Satya Mrunalini and Pikki Nagendra filed their nominations for the post.
District revenue officer M.V. Govinda Rajulu said 16 nominations were received in the past six days. Nominations would not be received on March 3 and 4 due to government holidays. 2.49 lakh voters have been made aware about EVMs.
