Telangana: 16-year-old boy dies of swine flu

Dr J.C. Reddy, superintendent Gandhi Hospital said, We have had three deaths due to swine flu in the month of July.

HYDERABAD: A 16-year-old boy Mahesh from Telangana succumbed to swine flu at the Gandhi Hospital. This is the second death in this week due to swine flu at Gandhi hospital. The first one was of a pregnant woman who was 36 weeks into her pregnancy term. Doctors have advised patients with symptoms of common colds and fever to not take it lightly and go for medical checkups.

Dr J.C. Reddy, superintendent Gandhi Hospital said, “We have had three deaths due to swine flu in the month of July. The boy had been admitted in bad condition and he died within two days of admission despite medical care.” The hospital claims to have not got any more fresh cases of swine flu. Special units have been set up in Gandhi Hospital to ensure timely treatment of swine flu patients.
