HYDERABAD: Approximately, 5,278 pilgrims from 8,659 applications were selected for Haj-2023 from Telangana, said TS Haj Committee officials here on Saturday.
While 479 are from the reserved category (70+ age) and 76 are from LWM (ladies without mehram category for 45+ years). Of them, 47 are from Hyderabad.
This year’s list includes 2,387 pilgrims from Hyderabad, Adilabad (110), Karimnagar (105), Mahabubnagar (137), Medchal (283), Nalgonda (135), Nirmal (138), Nizamabad (394), Rangareddy(373) and Sangareddy (238). However, Mulugu and Rajanna Sircilla have zero pilgrims this year.
Md. Saleem, Chairman, TS Haj committee and B. Shafiullah, its executive officer informed in a joint statement that the selected Haj pilgrims must submit all relevant documents along with the payment receipt for ₹81,800 before April 7.
