Tirupati: Brahmotsavam at Ramaswamy temple from April 3

Sri Rama Navami Utsavams will also commence on April 14 with Sita Rama Kalyanam on April 15 and Sri Rama Pattabhishekam on April 16.

Tirupati: In connection with annual Brahmotsavam of Sri Kodanda Ramaswamy Temple in Tirupati, which will commence from April 3 onwards, the entire temple was cleansed on Monday by means of a traditional ritual Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam.

This cleansing fete began at 6 am and lasted till 9 am wherein the temple roof, walls, floor, puja vessels were cleansed with aromatic ingredients. While the cleaning process was on, the Mula Virat statues were covered with a veil.

Temple Dy. EO E.C. Sreedhar and other staff took part in the fete with great enthusiasm. After the cleansing fete came to an end, the Lord’s darshan began by 9.30 am.

Meanwhile, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam had made elaborate arrangements for the grand conduct of annual Brahmotsavams at this temple from April 3 to 11.

The important days include Dhwajarohanam on April 3, Garuda Seva on April 7, Hanumantha Vahanam on April 8 and Chakra Snanam on April 11.

Sri Rama Navami Utsavams will also commence on April 14 with Sita Rama Kalyanam on April 15 and Sri Rama Pattabhishekam on April 16.

The annual Teppotsavams for Lord Kodanda Rama Swamy will be observed from April 17 to 19, in Sri Ramachandra Pushkarini near the temple.
