Public meeting to felicitate N Chandrababu Naidu for hiking pensions

The Chief Minister would distribute house site title deeds to about 20,000 beneficiaries on the occasion.

Vijayawada: District collector B. Lakshmikantham on Friday reviewed arrangements for the Atmeeya Abhinandana Sabha to be organised by the public to thank Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for hiking pensions. The meeting will be held at Kesarapalli village near Gannavaram of Krishna district.

Mr Lakshmikantham directed officials to take necessary measures to ensure the success of the programmes Pasupu- Kumkuma Sambaralu and Pinchanla Utsavam to be jointly organised at the premises of Atmeeya Abhinandana Sabha on Saturday.

He said that as many as 40,000 people are expected to attend the meeting and special stalls are being arranged.

The Chief Minister would distribute house site title deeds to about 20,000 beneficiaries on the occasion.

The collector said that pensioners, widows, senior citizens, artistes and others beneficiaries would thank Mr Naidu on the occasion.

He informed that as many as 4,37,265 pension beneficiaries in the district will be benefitted by about Rs 135.86 crore after enhancement of the pensions.

Mr Lakshmikantham said that they have taken several measures for the seating arrangements of the VIPs and beneficiaries. Besides, a separate parking lot has been arranged.

Meanwhile, Mr Lakshmikantham directed the officials to make necessary arrangements and ensure the success of international adventure festival t to be held at Kondapalli on February 3 and 4.

He spoke to the officials on conference call and asked them to arrange cultural programmes for the foreign participants and tourists.
