Amalapuram police arrest three burglars

Kakinada: Amalapuram Town police have arrested three burglars – Pinepe Naveen Kumar (25) of Aripolam in Nedunuru panchayat of Ainavilli mandal, Pulidindi Ravikiran (20) of Nedunuru village and Kummari Manoj (24) of T. Savaram village in Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district – on Monday on charge of stealing gold and silver ornaments from locked houses.

Police recovered 220.74 grams of gold and silver ornaments weighing 718.71 grams worth ₹12.5 lakh, one TV and a gas cylinder from them in 10 cases.

Amalapuram DSP M. Ambika Prasad said that the accused have stolen ornaments from two houses each under Amalapuram Town and Ainavilli police stations, three houses under Ambajipeta police station, one house each under P. Gannavaram, Kothapeta and Allavaram police stations.

The DSP underlined that Amalapuram CCS circle inspector B. Tirupathi Rao, Rural circle inspector P. Veerababu, Amalapuram sub-inspector A. Paradeshi, and ASI Ayithabathula Balakrishna were part of the team that played a key role in nabbing the accused.

Konaseema SP S. Sridhar congratulated the policemen for arresting the burglars.
