Telangana: Case against BJP MLA for hate speech

The case was registered against the BJP legislator following a complaint filed by Irfan Khadri, a resident of Golconda.

Hyderabad: The Golconda police registered a case against T. Raja Singh, Goshamahal legislator, for allegedly promoting hatred and hurting the religious sentiments.

The case was registered against the BJP legislator following a complaint filed by Irfan Khadri, a resident of Golconda.

In his complaint, he alleged that the BJP legislator frequently made hate speeches. He cited several speeches made by the MLA on various occasions. Along with the complaint, he also submitted a list of cases pending against the legislator. The police registered a case under Sections 153 A and 295 A of the IPC.

Mr Syed Fayaz, inspector Golconda, said, “A case was registered based on a complaint filed by Irfan Khadri that a hate speech was made by the BJP leader in Karnataka. The Karnataka police will look into the case.”
