Hyderabad: Court granted six day Police custody of Nayeem’s associates, former Maoist Thota Kumaraswamy, and Mohammed Abdul Faheem. RGIA Police filed a petition seeking custody of the duo.
Thota Kumaraswamy alias Tech Madhu, who is charged with supplying arms to Nayeem and his associates was arrested by the Bhongir police.
Following a plea by the RGIA police, Rajendranagar court on Friday granted custody of Tech Madhu and Faheem.
Madhu was facing allegations of supplying armoury and also charges of human trafficking.
During the course of investigation in Nayeem’s case, the police found that Madhu used to purchase new born baby girls from gullible people living in remote areas of Telangana and other states and sold them to Nayeem’s mother-in-law.
Tech Madhu, a former Maoist who surrendered before police in 2006, was arrested by the SIT police on August 12. He was a technical expert in making weaponry.
Abdul Faheem, who had worked as a driver for Nayeem, was involved in extortion and land grabbing in the city outskirts, the police said.
