21-year-old woman gangraped in Bihar, objects inserted into private parts

Patna: A 21-year-old woman was brutally gangraped by local goons in Bihar’s Motihari at gunpoint last week.

According to reports, the victim was dragged out of her house last week by a few men and was badly beaten up and raped.

The accused brutalised her by inserting a pistol and some wooden object in her genital area. She was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition.

The incident occurred last week in Jumaitola village, but came to light on Thursday after family members of the victim complained of “no police action against the accused”.

According to Victim’s mother, “there has been no action against the accused, my daughter was raped and we want police to arrest the accused”.

According to reports, one of the accused identified as Samiullah, had in the past too sexually assaulted the victim. He had also made a video clip of the act which he used as a tool to blackmail her.

Sources close to the family said in retaliation by Samiullah’s blackmailing, the victim attacked him with a blade, which infuriated the accused enough to rape and brutalise her. Police later lodged FIR against five men including Samiullah, and launched a search operation to nab them.

The victim was first sexually assaulted on June 15 by Samiullah when she was out of her house. The victim narrated the incident to her mother who went to the accused’s house to lodge a protest but instead was abused and beaten up.

Peeved by the allegation, Samiullah along with five other men later dragged the victim out her house and raped her. “The incident had occurred on June 15 but medical examination of the victim was done on June 22”, sources close to family members claimed.
