BENGALURU: A 16-year-old boy who allegedly sexually abused his six-year-old cousin sister has been detained by the Parappana Agrahara police. The boy in conflict with law was an SSLC student and was studying in a school near his house. The victim is a first standard student. Parents of the boy and girl are daily wage workers and neighbours.
Police said that the incident was reported last week and the girl does not know the exact day on which the incident took place. When both their parents had gone out for work, the boy allegedly lured the girl with a chocolate and took her to his house, where he allegedly sexually abused her. He allegedly threatened the girl to not reveal the matter to anybody.
“The incident came to light when the girl recently complained of stomach ache and got fever. When the mother, took her to hospital, the doctor suspected that the girl would be sexually assaulted. When the mother asked the girl, she has revealed the incident. As the girl’s mother and boy’s mother are sisters, they had discussed whether to file a complaint or not. Finally, the mother filed a complaint on Friday evening, following which the boy was picked up,” police said. The initial probe has revealed that the incident has taken place between February 10 and 15. Both the boy and the girl have been subjected medical tests.
PE teacher surrenders
The absconding physical education instructor, who was accused of allegedly sexually abusing a class nine student at a private school in Jalahalli, surrendered before a court on Friday. The court remanded the accused, Lakshmikanth, 40, in judicial custody for one day. The Jalahalli police, who are investigating the case, took him to police custody for seven days after obtaining permission from the court.
A 16-year-old class nine student was allegedly raped on several occasions by Lakshmikantha, after he lured her into his sister’s house near the school premises The accused allegedly sexually assaulted the victim between June and November last year. The victim mustered courage and shared her ordeals with friends, who brought it to the notice of the school management.
