Murder of Rowdy-Sheeter Solved: Six Assailants Arrested in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: Kanchanbagh police along with Southeast Zone Task Force solved the sensational murder of a rowdy-sheeter with the arrest of six assailants on Tuesday.

The victim Syed Naseeer, 22, alias Basha Khan, was murdered in front of his mother Syeeda Begum in Hafeez Babanagar in the early hours of September 13.

“To arrest the accused, we formed special teams,” DCP Southeast Ch Rupesh said in a press meet on Tuesday. The accused were arrested on Monday night at Falaknuma produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody.

The arrested accused have been identified as Baba Shingtay alias Baba Shinde, a realtor, and his son Aakash Shintay alias Aakash Shinde, 20, Syed Shah Abdul Jabbar alias Suleman, 19, all from Chandrayangutta, Prem Mane alias Laddu, 19, and Kaif Mohiuddin alias Irfan alias Kaif, 19, both residents of Hafeez Babanagar, and Shai Hasham Ali alias Hashim of Chandrayangutta, Rupesh said.

“Naseer was a rowdy sheeter under Kanchanbagh police station limits. He along with his associates Iliyas, Arafath, and others in the last week of September 2020 had murdered accused Baba Shingtay’s elder son Vishal Shingtay in Chatrinaka,” Rupesh said adding that deceased Naseer, on September 12 sent a threatening message to accused Akashay Shinde, on Instagram that stated that he would eliminate him very soon.

Akshay and his father Baba decided to eliminate Naseer. They conducted a recce on the movements of the Naseer and also made their escape route. Police seized three bikes, three daggers, and five mobile phones that were used in the crime, the DCP said.

Based on the victim’s mother who is the eyewitness in the case, Kanchanbagh police registered a case under sections 120(B), 302, 506, 109, 201 of the IPC and section 25(1)(B), 27 of Indian Arms.
