Andhra Pradesh man killed in wild boar trap blast

Gaddam Srinivas Reddy went to forest to pick flowers and stepped into a trap set by hunters for wild boars.

Khammam: A country-made bomb explosion on Wednesday killed a 48-year-old man from Korlagudem under Kallur mandal . The incident took place in a forest area between Chikkullagudem and Kanumuru under Gampalagudem in Krishna district in Andhra Pradesh.

Gaddam Srinivas Reddy went to forest to pick flowers and stepped into a trap set by hunters for wild boars.

The country-made bomb exploded and he sustained severe injuries from the shrapnel and iron balls from the explosive device.

The people nearby noticed the incident and informed the police.

The hunter, who fixed the trap, was at the scene at the time of explosion.

The hunter thought he trapped a wild boar but instead found a bleeding Srinivas Reddy with severe injuries.

An investigation is on and efforts are underway to arrest the hunter.
