Telangana: Copyright case against Dil Raju

Hyderabad: A court case has been registered against Tollywood producer Dil Raju and four others under the Copy Right Act. The complainant, Shyamala Rani, a writer by profession, filed a petition in the Miyapur court alleging that the accused have made a movie, Mr Perfect, in 2011, which was based on a novel published by her in 2010.

Ms Shyamala in her petition before the court stated that she had published a novel by name na manasu ninnu kore. But the makers of the movie, copied her story and made a movie out of it. She claimed that they did not take her permission for using her story and had cheated her.

Based on the orders from the court, the Madhapur police registered a case against Dil Raju, producer, co-producers Sirish and Lakshman, director K Dasarath and dialogue writer Abburi Ravi.
