Hyderabad: Police arrested a fake TTE and two of his aides for stealing the valuables of passengers at the Secunderabad railway station. The gang used to lure wait listed passengers promising to confirm tickets, divert attention and steal their valuables.
The main suspect, Randheer Shah, 20, from Bihar, and two minor boys were arrested on Monday. “The two boys used to approach people and promise to confirm tickets using the good offices of their relative. They then introduce Randheer Shah, who pretends to be a TTE, and seek his help. Randheer will take the passengers to another platform and tell them to leave their luggage with the boys. When the passengers move away, the boys escape with the bags,” said a police official.
Three such cases were reported to the police so far.
