Hyderabad: A 21-year-old cab driver ended life after his girlfriend restricted him from smoking a cigarette.
The incident occurred at a lodge near Gandhi Bhavan in the wee hours of Thursday, Begum Bazar police said.
The victim, M. Pavan alias Mohan, asked his girlfriend G. Sailaja to go out of the room as he wanted to smoke. This led to a heated argument but Sailaja insisted that he stay away from smoking in the room.
However, seeing her defiance, he went to the bathroom and died by suicide. Mohan and Sailaja both were relatives from Kollapur, Nagarkurnool, She works as a staff nurse.
