Tent house owner murdered by son for marrying another woman

Hyderabad: A man murdered his 54-four-year-old father, a tent house owner, who married another woman and abandoned the mother of the acused, in Ramanthapur.

Uppal police said the accused Pavan Sagar attacked his father Pandu Sagar with a hammer after an argument on Monday night at his house in Viveknagar. Pandu was rushed to the hospital where the doctors declared him dead.

Police said Pandu Sagar had married another woman three years ago, and was staying with her at her house in Peerzadiguda. He refused to return to his house and family, or bear the house expenses, Uppal inspector R. Govinda Reddy said.

Police said they took Pavan Sagar into custody for questioning. The hammer used in the murder has been sent for forensic testing.

This is the second instance of a man murdering his father in Uppal police limits. On March 25, Shivakumar and his mother Gopamma beat up 58-year-old mason Budidha Sudarshan for refusing to go to work. The victim died later in hospital.
