Warangal girl found dead in suspicious circumstances in London

Parents claim that it was murder for dowry.

Warangal: Thirumalagiri Swathi, a native of Warangal Urban district, was found dead in suspicious circumstances in London. Her parents and relatives accused her husband Sripathi Rajesh, a techie, and her in-laws S. Srinivas and Vijaya of murdering her.

According to the relatives, Swathi and Rajesh got married on November 4, 2016. During the time of marriage, Rs 35 lakh was given as dowry, they said.

At that time, Rajesh was working in Singapore. Later he got employed in London and the couple shifted there. Rajesh’s parents and his sister were also living along with them.

Swathi’s parents alleged that she was harassed for additional dowry after they moved to London. She used to complain of mental and physical harassment every day. On October 2, she spoke to her parents and said she was unable to live in London and wanted to return to India.

On Wednesday they got information from Swathi’s husband that she had fallen into the sea and was admitted in hospital. Later at night, he informed them that she had died.
