Vijayawada: Commissioner of police Gowtham Sawang said on Monday that the eve-teasing problem has been reduced over the recent past at Vijayawada. Police conducted counselling for eve-teasers at Vijayawada on Monday where representatives from Mahila Mitra and Mahila Rakshak teams gave counselling to eve-teasers and their parents.
Mr Gowtham Sawang said they have given counselling to 1,778 eve-teasers until now. He said that every citizen should respect the woman. He appreciated the Vasavya Mahila Mandali for contributing to their service in bringing the change in eve teasers. Vasavya Mahila Mandali members have given counselling to 270 families also besides the eve teasers.
