Hyderabad: Tenant head-butts his owner to death

Police booked a case of murder and started hunting for the absconding killer.

Hyderabad: A man allegedly head-butted his house owner to death for asking him to vacate his house in Pahadishareef on Friday evening.The 40-year-old victim, Ghouse Khan, was admitted to a hospital with injuries on his nose and he succumbed after a short while. Doctors said the victim suffered a serious internal head injury due to the head-butting and that led to death.

The accused, Ahmed Bin Sadiq, who is in his early 30s, went absconding after the incident. The incident occurred in Habeeb Nagar in Pahadi Shareef.
Police said Ghouse Khan had rented part of his house to Ahmed Bin Sadiq, a few weeks ago.However, Sadiq, an alcoholic, used to come home and quarrel with his wife and children every day.“As he could not tolerate the nuisance Ghouse asked Sadiq to vacate his house. However, he continued to stay,” said inspector V.V. Chalapathi, Inspector of Pahadishareef police station.

On Friday, when Ghouse’s wife Bhanu Begum asked Sadiq about vacating the house, a heated argument took place between them. Ghouse, who came home, went to rescue his wife from Sadiq.“A verbal spat between Ghouse and Sadiq led to the scuffle. Sadiq beat Ghouse with his hand several times and in between he head-butted Ghouse on the nose and he started bleeding,” said the inspector. With the bleeding nose Ghouse went to the police station and lodged a complaint. Police took him to hospital where he seemed normal.

“He talked to us and gave details of the incident. However, after a while he succumbed. Doctors said he sustained a serious internal injury,” said Chalapathi.
