As per GHMC records the residential building has all required permissions. GHMC circle 10B assistant planner Jagan Mohan said, "The GHMC had granted permission for ground plus 1. The construction was done as per the sanctioned plan and there is no deviation. However, at the time of laying the first floor slab as the slab supports were weak the centre portion collapsed. The height between each slab which is supposed to be 10 feet was not maintained. Instead it was laid at a height of 20 feet. The joints did not fit and that led to the collapse."
