Visakhapatnam: The Two-Town police on Friday registered a case against a 45-year-old man on charges of raping his 24-year-old daughter. Police said that the girl was not only raped by her father but also by her brother and one cousin. According to the police, the mother of the 24-year-old girl was separated from her husband and had been staying in her parents’ house at Nellore. After the separation, the victim’s father had married twice and had two sons. The girl stayed in her paternal aunt’s house in Vizianagaram, while her father and brothers lived in Vizag city.
A year back, the victim was brought back home by her father and lived in the Daba Gardens area. In her complaint, the victim mentioned that she was raped by her father, her brother and a cousin. Inspector of Two-Town police station G.V. Ramana said that the prime accused is an employee with the central government, while one of the other accused is a BTech graduate. “We have registered a case against the trio and investigation is on,” said Inspector Ramana.
After the complaint was filed, the police got the girl medically examined. The police said that the 45-year-old man had raped his daughter several times after she returned home. The brother and cousin of the girl had raped her after getting drunk. The girl kept silent about the rape as the accused persons threatened her of dire consequences. Sources said that the police are probing whether the stepmothers of the girl were indeed unaware of the torture that she underwent since her return. "We are investigating all aspects of the case and will nab all the accused soon", said GV Ramana.
