Nowadays people have no choice but to stand in long queues outside banks and ATMs for cash thanks to the recent demonetisation of Rs. 500 and Rs.1000 currency notes in the country. A Delhi-based start-up promises to change that by letting people hire ‘chotus’ who will wait in lines for you.
BookMyChotu, which calls itself the ‘first on-demand helper booking website’, lets you enlist the services of such temporary helpers when you’d rather be anywhere else than spend hours trying to get access to hard cash.
Here are the rates the firm has fixed for hiring a ‘chotu’:
Rs 90 for 1 hour
Rs 170 for 2 hours
Rs 260 for 3 hours
Rs 330 for 4 hours
Rs 380 for 5 hours
Rs 450 for 6 hours
Rs 500 for 7 hours
Rs 550 for 8 hours
