Daughter of sperm donor discovers she has 40 siblings

21-year-old from Florida is now on a journey to meet them all after discovery.

A woman whose biological father was a sperm donor has managed to track down 40-siblings with the same father.

21-year-old Kianni Arroyo from Florida is now sharing her meetings with her siblings online.

Kianni first began the project five years ago and has since discovered her siblings include four sets of twins as well as brothers and sisters as far afield as Australia, New Zealand and Canada.

In fact, she is the oldest known sibling born to the donor, with the youngest being just five months old.

Arroyo was raised by her mum who she says has always been honest with her being born using a sperm donor.

Arroyo, a waitress, in a conversation with Metro US said that she always wanted to find out more about who she was, and whether she had any siblings, so as soon as she was old enough to access the records she did just that.

Since she began her search, Kianni discovered a local half-sister called Joanna, 20, who also lives in Florida. They have become good friends and see each other bimonthly.

Kianni added, “Even though we’ve never met before, having a father in common gives us a really special link, and means we feel comfortable with one another.”

She has also met her donor dad, who prefers to remain anonymous, and she describes him as a “really cool guy.”

In the US, sperm donors are only supposed to provide between 15 and 20 samples but, in Kianni’s dad’s case, the company was taken over in a buyout.

Their records were consequently wiped - meaning he was able to donate again.

Some families who already had one child by him also requested another sample, so their kids could be “full-siblings”.

Around 30 of the 40 half siblings that Kianni has found have said they would like to meet her and she now hopes to make contact with them in the near future.
