Wild Wisdom Quiz competition to begin soon

The first two toppers from each school will compete in the City level quiz to be held on August 24 at Thiruvananthapuram.

Thiruvananthapuram: Wild Wisdom Quiz: The Wild Wisdom Quiz, an initiative of WWF- India and Central Board for Secondary Education (CBSE) will begin soon. The quiz is open for students of classes 3 to 12 in three categories: Junior School (Classes 3-5), Middle School (Classes 6-8), High School (Classes 9-12). Registrations for Junior and Middle Schools are open till July 31. National Finals are only for the Middle School. Junior School will culminate at the respective City levels, while the High School quiz, which is an online version, is open till October 15. Schools will have to register on http://quiz.wwfindia.org/wwq/index.html for participation.

The first two toppers from each school will compete in the City level quiz to be held on August 24 at Thiruvananthapuram. The previous edition of this quiz was attended by 1232 students from 38 schools across the State. For this edition, more than 3,000 is the outreach target fixed by WWF. The National Finals for the Middle School will be held on October 7 in New Delhi. The national level winners of the quiz will be taken on an adventure trip to a National Park.

Jawahar LP School: Ramzan celebration was conducted by the LP section of Jawahar Public School, Edava on July 4. Chief Guest, Edava Shukkoor, Managing Editor of Jeevaragam Magazine gave a Ramzan message. Principal, Rev. Fr. Mathews Chackalackal CMI, Administrative assistants Ms. Anithakumari. C.S, and Ms. Jayasree. K.B, Head Boy Midhun Raj and Head Girl Fida Sherin Nizam participated. LP students added charm and colour with their cultural performances. Iftar packets were distributed.

Jawahar public school: Jawahar Public school, Edaval celebrated Ramzan, commemorating the values of love, sacrifice and sharing. It was followed by cultural programmes like ‘Mappilapattu’, Oppana, Arabic Song and Kolkali. Iftar packets were distributed.

Sai Krishna Public School: Sai Krishna Public School, Chenkal organized a free eye campaign and treatment for cataract. Dr. Sreejith, Nirmala Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram organized the campaign and Dr. P.K. Raveendran, former President of Lions Club, Thiruvananthapuram was the master of ceremonies. The school Manager Mr. Mohankumar Kumar, Mr. Alex Kuriakose, Lions Club Governor and the Academic Director Mr. Radhakrishnan participated.
