Visakhapatnam: Chief Commercial Officer, Sri Lankan Airlines, Siva Ramachandran on Saturday inaugurated the Sri Lankan Airlines Office (City Sales Office), located at Siripuram area in Vizag city.
Talking to the media, Mr Ramachandran said that focusing on India as a special market, Sri Lankan Airlines has starter services to Vizag city a few months back and the response was so good.
Vizag is an important market for us and the new office of Sri Lankan Airlines in Vizag city to cater the requirements of the Vizagites, who planned to visit Sri Lanka and other places.
The overall load factor on some Indian routes is still running close to 90 percent while some witnessed more than that, he added. The Sri Lankan Airlines are also offering packages for holiday travel linking Colombo, Maldives and Seychelles and other destinations such as Europe, Dubai, London and few others. Sources said that the airlines is looking at associating with some destinations marketing companies in India for the promotion of backwater tourism.
