Baby could lose all her limbs after contracting aggressive form of meningitis

However, the damage could get even worse for the young 10-month old.

A 10-month-old baby who has contracted a rare and aggressive form of meningitis faces the possibility of losing all her limbs.

Baby Kia Gott's parents initially rushed her to a GP four weeks ago after she was vomiting and had a high temperature, according to a report by the Daily Mail. Vikki and Paul soon learned their daughter was suffering from meningitis C septicaemia.

The child already has one arm amputated and will soon have a leg removed. Doctors believe she will also lose her hearing and eyesight and could be left 90% brain damaged.

He parents now want to warn other's about the signs and symptoms of the disease.

Donna, Gott's aunt told The Telegraph and Argus: "They know she is in a bad way, but they can't grasp she can't hear or see them." Adding, “The hospital has said it's the worst case of Meningitis C they have seen there in 25 years."

Friends of the family have raised close to £9,000 to help with her medical costs, the report revealed.

Symptoms of meningitis by Meningitis Research Foundation:

* Fever
* Vomiting
* Severe headache
* Limb, joint or muscle pain
* Cold hands and feet and or shivering
* Pale skin
* Feeling breathless
* A rash on the body
* A stiff neck
* A dislike of bright lights
* Very sleepy
* Confused
* Seizures
