Expert suggests Florida shooter may have fetal alcohol syndrome

Facial features like a low nasal bridge, thin upper lip as well as small eyes along with his behaviour seem to indicate this.

On Valentines Day the world was shocked by yet another mass shooting in America 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz shot 17 people in Florida. As the tragedy hit headlines, everyone is trying to understand why a teenager may have taken such an extreme step.

Looking at the incident from a psychological point of view, experts are suggesting that the boy expelled from school a year back may be suffering from fetal alcohol syndrome. Facial features like a low nasal bridge, thin upper lip as well as small eyes along with his behaviour seem to indicate this.

Cruz was adopted as a child and an expert says that his case is similar to what she has seen in many adopted children with brain based conditions. The disorder causes difficulty in communication and language, problems with abstract concept and impaired short term memory.

Children with such conditions need a different treatment in order to prevent them from getting frustrated and shutting down.
