Sapta Rathrotsavalu to begin on Aug 29 at Mantralayam

KURNOOL: The authorities of Raghavendra Swamy Mutt on Sunday said that the 352nd Sapta Rathrotsavalu celebrations of Raghavendra Swamy will begin on August 29 and will conclude on September 4 in Mantralayam in Kurnool district.

The celebration will begin on August 29 with the ceremonial rituals of Dhwajarohana and Jyothi Prajvalana, which will be inaugurated by the famous seers, according to Mutt A.A.O. Madhava Shetty. Various notable holy ceremonies will be performed in the days after the celebration, including Yajurveda on August 30, Purvaaradhana on August 31, and Madhyaaradhana on September 1.

According to temple officials, the highlight of the festivities will be the Maha Rathotsavam, which will be conducted on a grand note as part of the Uttaradhana.

To ensure the event runs smoothly, Matt officials are making extensive preparations for accommodation, drinking water facilities, sanitation, vehicle parking, medical assistance, well-organised queue lines, distribution of Parimala Prasadam, and free Anna Prasadam, all while keeping a large flow of devotees in mind.

Additionally, measures are being prepared for the safety of devotees at the Tungabhadra River bathing ghats, including the presence of professional swimmers.
